Classical Guitar Students and Teachers (June 8th-9th, 2019)

Ticket covers registration for the following June 10th-12th student/teacher events. Registration includes the following three day institute for students of all instruments and guitar institute members may attend any of those days for further study.

Classical guitar students and teachers will learn how to break through boundaries for confident, competent performance. There are specific ways based on how the brain learns to get those tricky passages up to speed. We’ll do that in real time in innovative Practiclasses. Students will see immediate improvement and teachers will learn how to use the techniques for themselves and others, sight reading, taming performance anxiety, building practice time and motivation, and much more. Please bring your instruments.

Students of All Instruments and Voice (June 10th-12th, 2019)

There are fundamental ways that the brain learns to perform anything and they work so different than most people think that very few know how to do it. Those that do are called talented and gifted, but anyone can do it to get as great as they would like at anything and as good as they would like, or just better, at everything.
We will learn, through lectures, coachings and innovative Practiclasses, how to apply the best from music, psychology and neuroscience in a practical way to improve dramatically in less time, build practice time and motivation, tame performance anxiety and get to the next level instead of plateau. Anyone can do it.
Please bring your instruments if at all possible.

Professional Development for Teachers of All Instruments and Voice (June 12th-14th, 2019)

There is a fundamental way that the brain learns to perform, and it works so differently than most people think that very few know how to do it. Those that do seem talented and gifted, but anyone can do it to get as great as they would like at anything and as good as they would like, or just better, at everything
All teachers know some of this, and the great teachers know most of it, but few know the terms and how these concepts are organized as part of a larger model. This is because the research has only recently been disseminated and those of us who teach are, understandably, very far removed from the fields of cognitive and behavioral psychology and neuroscience much less how that is applied in teaching.
We will learn Through innovate Practiclasses, lectures and coachings.
While it is optional you are encouraged bring your instrument so that you can experience what you are learning and ask any questions. Please consider volunteering for a Practiclass.
